Water is everywhere, and despite our current fatigue with its crystalized manifestation, it makes for a fascinating subject. Whether occuring in nature, channeled by humans, or harnessed by the maker for a photograph, water is an actor in, as well as a backdrop for, our daily lives.
Pictures will be judged on the usual criteria of technical skill, composition, and artistic impact, but crucial to winning honors will be how effectively the makers incorporate water in their photos.
Digital entries must be made through the website, where all pertinent rules and regulations for submission can be found, buy 4PM on the day of the contest. Prints should be on the table by 7:15, and please provide digital copies for simultaneous projection either via the website or thumb drive.
Remember, anyone may view a CCC competition, but only paid members may participate.
Often, everyday subjects create the greatest challenges in competition. This should be another night featuring a wide variety of creative and stunning images.
The Nikon School has again contributed tickets to their Philly sessions. They emphasize that you need not be a Nikon shooter to participate in or benefit from these all day workshops.
There will be one ticket offered for each session:
Session 1: Better Photos, March 8
Session 2: Color, Light, Technology, March 9
Both sessions will be held at the Renaissance Philadelphia Airport Hotel and run from 9:30 to 4:30. Retail is $149 per session - we will be raffling off the tickets at $5/chance.
Last year's attendees enjoyed and learned from the day.
