Our summer work day will be Sunday, June 29 at 2 PM at Cosi in Elkins Park.
The club encourages everyone to turn out for the work day, where we will form our committees and start work on next year's activities. We need active participation from a large number of members to keep our momentum going and have another successful year.
Competition - Scheduling our many varied competitions, refining the rules, and hiring and handling the judges and running the contests. CCC is renowned for the quality of the photography and critiques featured in our annual contests.
House - Refreshments, dealing with Rowland, and social activities such as our banquet and holiday party.
Outings - Leading periodic field trips and shoots. This area could really use some fresh ideas and work.
Programming - Finding outside speakers as well as recruiting members for educational and inspirational presentations.
Membership - Recruiting new members via Meetup, Facebook, and public events, as well as placing literature in local camera stores and institutions.
Interclub - Representing the CCC at the Delaware Valley Council of Camera Clubs (DVCCC) and the annual Interclub competition.
Volunteerism is the lifeblood of a vital photography club. If many people each give a few hours over the course of the year, we will continue to thrive.
Hope to see you there with your ideas for making Cheltenham a better club!
