Pre-peat Full Moon Paddle on the Upper Potomac from Shepherdstown, WV
A pre-peat is the opposite of a repeat which technically might be no peats but in this case due to the popularity of this paddle we are scheduling a second one on the day before the originally scheduled paddle.
RSVP's for this paddle will open in a few days after I've had the chance to move everyone over to Friday night that indicated they were willing to switch from Saturday night.
Celebrate the Full Mead Moon with an 8-mile night paddle on the Potomac River from the Shepherdstown boat ramp to Snyder’s Landing and back. This tranquil section of the river is suitable for all skill levels, and offers spectacular views of the sunset and full moon. We will leave the Shepherdstown boat ramp at 7:00 PM and paddle upstream at a leisurely pace. We will take a break at Snyder’s Landing to admire the sunset before heading back downstream, with an anticipated return time of 11:30 PM. If we are lucky we might get to see a train cross the bridge upon our return. We recommend that participants bring snacks, beverage of choice, and multiple light sticks to attach to their kayak and PFD.
There are rental kayaks including a paddle and PFD available for this paddle at the weekend price of $50.00. To Reserve one simply answer the rental questions when you RSVP.
