Join us Christmas Eve for CKA's 3rd Annual Christmas Eve North Pole Moonlight Paddle!
For he third year in a row Santa has agreed to let us launch from the beach near his workshop. I guarantee that launching from there with the moon and Northern Lights shimmering above is an experience you're sure to never forget. This is a paddle that no one wants to miss. Check out the pictures from last years paddle like the one to the right if you don't believe me.
We'll be on the water from the North Pole at 11:30 PM on Tuesday, December 24, 2012. Please plan to arrive with plenty of time to get your boat and gear ready to launch promptly at 11:30 PM. This is a truly rare situation where no wetsuit or other appropriate cold water paddling attire is required. The heartfelt warmth of the members of this group is all we'll need to protect us from the cold.
The leadership team of CKA and I want to take this opportunity to wish all 1098 of you (as I write this) a joyous holiday season with this very special paddle. It is a paddle that truly all of us can attend regardless of skill or the type of boat we do or don't yet own. Here's wishing that all of you discover great joy in the new year learning to improve your paddling skills, discovering new places to paddle and meeting new friends to paddle with. Thanks to all of you for the joy your overwhelming positive response to CKA has brought to us.
If you can't actually join us at the North Pole on Christmas Eve, RSVP YES anyway to let us know that you'll be there with us in spirit. With a little luck we'll have at all 1098+ members attending this one. Happy Holidays Everyone!
