Annapolis Tuesday Paddle – Truxton to Cantler’s

If you can get away on Tuesday, we are planning an Annapolis paddle of 10.5 to 13 miles. We’ll treat ourselves to a lunch break at Cantler’s Riverside Inn, on the waterfront of Mill Creek.

9:45 am – Arrive (approx.)

10:15 am – On the Water Launch

Truxton Park

Unload boat at ramp. Park in lot at top of hill.

We will be on the water promptly at 10:15am.

Cantler’s Riverside Inn

458 Forest Beach Rd, Annapolis, MD

(Opens 11am)

May be warm enough to sit on their outdoor waterfront deck.

Launch from Truxton Park.  Paddle north on Spa Creek, past City Dock, and into Severn. Pick safest transit to Severn’s upper side, easterly around Greenbury Point into Whitehall Bay, then left into Mill Creek to Cantler’s (about 5.3 miles). After lunch, optional extension into headwaters of Mill Creek, then return for total of 10.5 to 13 miles.

Though air temps are expected to be in the 60s, water temps may still be in the upper 30s, so cold water attire is required. If you don't know what that means you can learn more at  You will not be allowed to participate in this paddle without the appropriate cold water attire.

FYI, the mouth of the Severn is open water and we typically encounter chop.

Great paddle! 5 MPH winds had the water really calm all day. Dennis swim tested his dry suit with Diet Coke at lunch.

That's a fun paddle. I did it a couple of years ago on the 4th of July out of Jonas Green. There are great waves at Greenbury Point.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
