Laid Back Sunday Social Paddle Little Seneca Lake

Little Seneca Lake

Laid Back

Sunday Social Paddle

This Laid Back Sunday Social Paddle will find us on the water at 10:30 AM on Little Seneca Lake for a very laid back, easy going social paddle without any particular agenda.  We will launch from the boat ramp inside the park on Black Hills Road.  Please plan to arrive in plenty of time to have your boat and gear ready to launch by 10:30 AM.  Renters need arrive by 10:00 am to get familiar with your boat and gear, so you are ready to launch at 10:30 am.

Little Seneca Lake is owned by the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). There is a $5.00 fee to paddle there that is on a honor system and is payable in a lock box at the put in.

We plan on being out at least a couple hours but we can decide how long to stay out based on everyone's availability.  Make sure to pack a lunch or snack, we will be stopping for a break.  Feel free to bring treats to share during this break.

There are a limited number of rental kayaks available for this paddle at a special weekend social price of $45.00 including paddle and PFD.  Please fill out the rental question when you RSVP to request one.

It was great to get back on the water and the turtles crowded the fallen trees to welcome us back. Thanks, Chuck and Kimmie!

Se had fun. The leaders were very flexible and helped me take My dog. They took great care of US and were entertaining and relaxed. The other group members and lunch were also easy and fun. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to back out - big work meeting coming up and NOT prepared. Have fun, and I hope to see you all on the water soon.

Man, I wish I could. I will be chaperoning a Birthday party with 10 (or more as that was the last count) 14-year-old girls. My wife is conveniently working both Saturday evening and Sunday morning so I am in charge (yes, of a sleepover with 10 or more giggly 14-year-old girls: I need some Event co-Hosts :o)

    Is cold weather gear required?

    April 16, 2014

    • Chuck

No it is not for this paddle Lou. Inland water temps are at or above 60 degrees pretty much consistently. Cold water gear will still be required for paddles on the Bay or it's tributaries for a couple more weeks though
