Check Out Our Member's Pick Up Paddles

  • We have a number of members (Including Chuck, Kimmie and Dennis) that are more and more regularly posting Pick-Up Paddles in the Pick-Up Trip section of the discussion boards. If you don't check the discussion boards occasionally, you're missing some great spontaneous opportunities to paddle.

These are usually a little less structured paddle with a smaller group of people. Some may require greater paddling skills than our regularly posted Meetup paddles but many may be quite easy. Check with whoever posted the paddle to find out if it's right for you or if the plans have changed before just showing up.

You can find the Pick-Up Trip section of the discussion boards by clicking on "DISCUSSIONS" near the top of the page and then clicking on "Pick Up Trips" or go there directly by clicking this link.

You can also modify your individual discussion group settings to receive an email when ever something is posted or to get a daily digest of all postings to the discussion boards.

Chuck, belated Merry Christmas and an on time Happy New Year. Thanks for all the work on organizing the great paddles; looking forward to getting out there again soon for a hike or paddle! Mike

Meetup has allowed me to meet people I wouldn't have met naturally - they're totally different than me.
