Hello all! I enjoy kayaking - love the water. Anything outdoors including hiking, camping other social/fitness type events.
I have a pfd.
Novice. Basic level classes with REI. Paddling and one class of wet exit without a roll.
No kayak. Have only rented here and again in the DC areas. Looking into a purchase.
All the above. I motto is to keep moving.
Skill, meditation, social.
Hi just formed a hot new meetup group called Georgetown Hiking, Walking, Dining & Wine Club. Feel free to check us out and join our club and events. Chat soon, Robert
I have fun chatting with you while hiking on Sunday. Let me know when you plan on going to the Hangar club so I can join you. Never been there but heard about it...been curious to check it out for a while...birthday coming up thought it would be the right time!
Cindy, you asked me to call but don't have your number so I hope this reaches you! There is now space open for the following hike you are currently wait listed for with The Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group "AT Section Hike Across MD (HAM): Part 3 of 4! Crampton Gap, Fox Gap,Turners Gap!" on Sunday 06/26. Please update your RSVP to "I'm Going" to join us on the hike, or "Can't Go" to pass your spot to someone else on the wait list. We hope you will join us for good times on the trail!
Hi Cindy, it looks fun. Let me see if I have any conflicts with that day.
Hi Cindy, Glad we got in touch today. I was reviewing the hiking gear rec'd for winter hikes. It says that stabilicers are required in case we come across ice (they slip onto the bottom of your shoe). If you don't have them you should be able to get them at an outdoor store. Or send a message to the hike leader - she said they have spares available to hikers on a first com first serve basis. I'd send her a message to reserve a pair. Thought I would mention it. Look forward to meeting you
Cindy, sometimes waiting lists do pay off because there is now space open for you on the following hike you are wait listed for with The Mid-Atlantic Hiking Group, "Moderate Hike of 5 Miles with 7 Mile Option! High Knob on the Catoctin Mountain Loop in Gambrill State Park" on 12/12. Please update your RSVP to a "Yes" to join us on the hike, or a "No" to pass your spot to someone else on the wait list. We hope you will join us for good times on the trail and enjoy the crisp clear views!"
It's too late to call you now. I will try calling you from work. If not then when I get home around 8:30.
I just posted this on the message board and then I thought to send you a greeting. Thank you for your offer. I could get to Greenbelt Metro. I would need to know what time you would need me to be there, I checked the train schedule and I could get there by 7:47, that's the earliest train. I definitely want to do the complete hike. Would that work out? My email address is [masked], Thanks. Tanya
