Sold two sit on top Perception kayaks, and bought Hobie Outback with Mirage...don't mind using a paddle, but Mirage is wat too much fun for the fishing!
Not yet, but will acquire one before joining any of your outings. Have been kayaking maybe 15 years (flat waters and Gulf of Mexico) without one, but understand they're legally required around here.
In this area, have pretty much been up and down the Occoquan...furthest distance one way was about 6 miles north in the Hobie.
Hobie Outback
Typically, fishing and recreational scootin' along shorelines...but would love to find people interested in overnighting events...I do my fair share of backpacking, too.

Hey Jeff - Welcome to Chesapeake Kayak Adventures! It sounds like you have some experience that we would love to have along on our paddles but until the weather warms up why not check out one of our hikes. Welcome!
Hi Jeff,
Nice meeting on Friday....you are a funny guy!
Hey Jeff, Sounds like a great idea. I would love to find some morels (fried up in butttah). I took the day off today (bad case of Anal Glaucoma) and will be heading up to Bears Den this afternoon to get a little closer to the sun. :D. After our group hikes, we often don't let the camaraderie stop and head out for something to eat-breaking bread I call it. You are welcome to join us, since you know the area, perhaps you could recommend something?
Peace

Hi Jeff and welcome to our group! Looks likes you enjoy being active outdoors. Rick is hosting a last minute kayak trip on Friday. There will be some hikes posted soon as well. Do you wilderness camp? Mushroom? You could teach a few of us a thing or two if you are willing. We welcome all suggestions for get togethers. Post away and we will put them on the calender for you.
Peace,
Cricket
Please post a picture so we know who to look for when you join us. Thanks!
