Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.
I have been paddling for about nine years and like volunteering as a support kayaker in open water swims. Not an expert but always trying to get a little better at it. Having fun and enjoying the company of others on the water is most important.
What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.
Valley Skerray, P&H Capella (touring boats) and a Perception Acadia, a rec boat.
Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?
So I can look in the distance and say "aaahhh, life is good."
What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?
To meet new people and learn something new.
My name is Manuel and I live in Silver Spring.
