A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?

I have a PFD of my own.

Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.

I kayaked a lot as a kid, and fairly regularly in the past year.

What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.

I have a 12" flat water kayak.

Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?

I enjoy being on the water, great exercise and way to unwind.

What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?

Looking for opportunities to kayak in new places, build up skill/strength, and have fun with people.

Introduction

Being on the water is the best! Even the Potomac near DC feels remote.
