A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?

Yes.

Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.

We started kayaking regularly in 2010, got a recreation tandem last fall which we paddled until this spring when we started using single kayaks.

What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.

Current Designs Cypress, Wilderness Systems Alto, Loon 138T and a borrowed Sun Velocity.

Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?

All of those reasons. :)

What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?

We're looking to improve our paddling skills and learn to paddle under varying conditions (except whitewater) and meet people along the way.

Introduction

It's more fun in a kayak.
