A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?

I have my own gear.

Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.

I picked it back up two years ago when I started going to Hawaii to visit my son and his family there. We would go out on the windward side and go around the islands. So it was over waves and such. Loved it and I just started paddleboarding in April of this year.

What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.

I have a 14' Current Design , Whistler kayak.

Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?

I love the feeling of gliding on the water, the challenge of the waves and the peace you feel out there. I like looking at the scenery and just being with others out on the water.

What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?

I want to meet people who are out and active. I also want to improve my skills and upper body strenght and this is a great way to do all of that!

Introduction

Hi. Look forward to seeing everyone on the water!
