A number of them depending on the type of conditions and type of boat (sea kayak vs. SOT vs. SUP etc). Never without one on the water (on me, not just in the boat or on the board).
Most of my adult life. Surf kayaking, flat water, a tiny bit of whitewater in my younger days. I am on the water every week year round (so I have a lot of cold weather gear). Been on the Potomac in just about every condition (love the small craft warning days when it is just me and the windsurfers).
My family has dozens of kayaks and 3 SUPs (I have a bit of a gear addiction problem :o) The ones I use the most: P&H Aries (15'9" playboat/sea kayak), NDK Pilgrim Expedition (17'3" sea kayak), Point 65N Whiskey (15' playboat/sea kayak), Seda Glider "Sea Ski" (19' sea kayak converted to a surf ski), Cobra Expedition (18' Sit-On-Top), Epic 16X (16' sea kayak), Point 65N XP18 Spyder (18' surf ski), and with my wife a Current Designs Unity (21' Tandem sea kayak).
It's an addiction. What can I say? Probably need a 12-step program :o) In truth, I kayak for all of those reasons and probably ones I am not even conscious of. I love paddling with folks who love to paddle but I also love to sometime just be on my own to get away from it all and clear my mind and/or get a good workout (while I rock out :o).
Looking for folks who share my passion.
I am an avid kayaker/SUP paddler that goes almost every weekend and many weekdays. On the water is where I feel most at home.
Great group. The leader's a bit questionable :o)
