A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?
I have a conoeing pfd but not a kayaking pfd .
Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.
I have borrowed several rec kayaks for use on ponds or rivers, but I don't like how they track.
What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.
I am interested in purchasing new or used equipment that fits me and the type of kayak touring I would like to do. I would need to rent or borrow equiment at this time.
Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?
I would like to paddle for an hour mid week and paddle over night on weekends when possible.
What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?
Its easier to get off your duff when the group says "come on lets go!". Its less boring and safer to paddle in a group and groups make shuttling easier. I would like to paddle locally during the week and paddle on weekend trips up to the limits of a touring kayak.
