Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.
I started kayaking in 2014. I am not super experienced but can hold my own on flat and choppy water. Participated in many CKA paddles since joining this great group of people.
What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.
I have a plastic Perception Carolina 160, and a Necky, Tessla Kevlar/fiberglass/carbon, 17 foot kayak.
Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?
I like to kayak for all the above reasons.
What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?
I'd like to improve my skills, discover new kayaking places, and enjoy the company and camaraderie of fellow kayakers.
"King Neptune" I am retired and enjoying every minute. I love kayaking, hiking, walking, and biking. Travel and socializing is also alluring.
