A PFD (Personal Floatation Device) is required for all of our paddles. Do you have your own PFD or have acces to one?

I do have one.

Please tell us a little about your previous kayaking experience. It's okay if you don't have a lot of experience.

I have been paddling for about 4 years, the last 2 with my own boat, a Necky Manitou 14. I have taken CKAPCO's basic strokes class and attended SK102 in 2015.

What kind or type of kayak(s) do you own? If you'll be renting or borrowing from a friend that's okay too. We also have rental kayaks for members to use.

Necky Manitou 14

Why do you kayak? Some people paddle to relax and get away from it all outdoors, others to stay fit. The real crazies paddle just for the joy and fun of it. What's your reason?

All of the above. I would like to visit historical sites via the water when I gain more experience.

What do you hope to get out of joining this group? Some people want to improve their paddling skills others just want to socialize with fellow paddlers. Is there anything special you're looking for?

It's always safer to go out on the water with others as opposed to going alone.

I have had my Necky Manitou 14 for a few years now and have attended SK 101 and SK 102. I prefer to see man made things when I paddle as opposed to nature so I love paddling in DC and Annapolis.
