How did you hear/learn about permaculture?

Was introduced to permaculture through applied anthropology / political ecology writings. I always did urban studies projects but my PhD advisor worked with Zimbabwean farmers. For several years taught a peasants and social change course. Am an avid gardener w urban chickens, etc. and family works to be sustainable. Came to your site because I'm interested in building an enclosed cob garden wall in the spring and maybe future projects if I can find some folks who know how to build with cob / teach us.

I have a PhD in anthropology and used to teach. I have a 5 yr old daughter and a home-based natural crafts supply business in NE Balto. We're vegetarians. Have a large veggie garden / chickens. Interested in natural building and sustainable living.
