Strong players (1800+) to meet up in Harvard Sq. Reply to figure out details.

  • Jan 10, 2014 · 7:00 PM

Hi, I'm looking for 2-3 strong players to meet up with during the weekend at a cafe in Harvard Sq for a few casual games or some blitz, whatever feels right. My rating was over 1800 when I played competitively so hopefully you would be around that level or stronger. Please reply to this post if you're interested so that we can figure out the details that are convenient for everybody.

Atif and I were at Au Bon Pan. Had some good games and chat. Even got to play some non meetup players. Did not meet anyone else there so hopefully we were not at the wrong location.

I can make a meet up in Harvard on that date. My old rating was BCF142 but I have played very little over the past 10 years. Not sure how to convert that to ELO or US rating. Prob around[masked] but very very rusty.

I'm unranked but struggling to find competition. I expect I'm not a challenge for 1800+, but I'm hoping to find some games or learn by watching. And I love Harvard Sq. =)

Hi, I'm a fairly average chess player but would love to play and improve my game if anyone's interested. Please let me know of any meetups/locations.

I'm in the[masked] level. Is that ok to join or do you want to keep the group to 1800+ only?
