I have never attended a speed dating event before, and I was a bit apprehensive. Everyone encouraged me to just enjoy the event, so I did and ended up having nice time. The free appetizers were delicious.

Hi, I've never been to a speed dating event. I understand the process, and the 5 minute time limit seems very short. Can someone give me a sense how it feels to be at this thing?

It will be a fun night. 5 minutes is enough, typically after the event you get to mingle and know people a little better. Give it try, you will not know if you like it if you don't try it!

Time is relative, n'est-ce pas? Remember the famous quote to this point: what's the difference between 5 minutes sitting with the most beautiful woman in the world and 5 minutes sitting on a hot stove. It's long enough. And then you have the urge to talk more with the "right one."
