Looking for a chance to work at a University or know someone?

To assist us in meeting our deadlines we are seeking an experienced Drupal Developer who will work directly with our Web Administrator to help with existing projects. This person will primarily be working the backend and functionality but will also be included in other aspects of the sites.

Additionally, we seek an individual who is flexible, patient, works well with student workers, and communicates well. We prefer a self-starter who can work in both collaborative on a flexible and adaptive schedule. This person will need to hit the ground running and commit to delivering within our tight deadlines and be able to problem solve.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • CMS (Drupal platform)
  • HTML experience; Familiarity of HTML syntax for multiple specifications, including HTML 5 - Knowledge of the semantic meaning of all HTML elements - Knowledge to be able to hand-code markup.
  • CSS, JQuery, Javascript, PHP, and developing CMS multiple platforms.
  • Creating and cleaning up existing Drupal PHP Themes.
  • Working with Media Queries.
  • Working with Multi-site installs.
  • Researching and installation of Modules
  • Understanding and managing taxonomy’s .
  • Experience with Photoshop/Dreamvweaver
  • Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies.
  • Responsive design required
  • Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies.
  • Best practices; Methods for degrading gracefully for older browsers and displays. - Methods to ensure browser & device compatibility. - Methods to ensure accessibility. - File compression techniques for improving speed.


Position Info:
•Short term position; six (6) weeks (full time).
•Full Time (preferably) or Part Time
•On Site
•Dominican University - River Forest
•3-5 years experience working with Drupal CMS
