Once you attend a meeting you'll wonder why you had not done so earlier! To have an opportunity to listen and to interact with speakers who are specialists in their field at no cost--other than your time is amazing! And if you decide to become a member, which is voluntary, the fee is small and the advantages are great--especially for students! There is always a chance to mingle and enjoy snacks as well. And if you allow a little extra time you can browse through the Evanston library where most of the meetings are held--a bonus.
