This is a good first barefoot trail run for those used to BFR on streets and paved paths. The run will consist of two loops, northern and southern, of roughly three miles each. Both loops start and end at the parking area. Do either one or both. I will have maps to hand out.
You can park at either end of West Laurel Ave. The west terminus is where the trail run starts and ends, while the east terminus is where lunch will be. You can either drive or run between these two points, which are only 1/2 mile apart. There is parking at both ends.
Encourage your family to come along! They can either smell the flowers in the nature preserve or spend the money you save by not buying running shoes in historic Market Square. The kids will like the unique toy store and there are trendy little shops to explore.
The Grill on Laurel (http://www.thegrilleonlaurel.com/) is a very nice place that has inexplicably agreed to serve a mass of sweaty, muddy, half-naked barefoot runners. Lunch will be at noon.
RAIN OR SHINE.
