Start Testing Backbone with Jasmine/Karma/Sinon

This will be an introductory level presentation on testing backbone applications.  We'll do an overview of Karma (test-runner), Jasmine (BDD Library), and Sinon (used here for mocking the server).  Then, we'll dig into some live coding and build up an simple application using a test-driven/behavior-driven approach.

Basic familiarity with Backbone is a plus, but no prior experience with Karma, Jasmine, or Sinon is necessary.

Big thanks to Cedric at Spantree for making that happen!

It was a little light on the integration and setup points. I probably would have got more out of this if I was more prepared to walk through on my own, workshop style.

I'd be happy to swing by and do video. We have a decent rig for HDMI screen capture and HD speaker footage.

A couple quick notes about logistics for tomorrow. Make sure you've signed up with an accurate name (and your guests) before the event tomorrow to make sure you will get past the front desk. We're on the 10th floor and there should be some people to corral everyone in the right direction once you get up there. And, thanks for coming out!

We'd be interested in hosting this in our office at Sprout Social. We can fit about 40-50 people in our training room and probably provide pizza. We'll just need to get accurate names for the building check in the day of the event.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
