Science fiction (both on the printed page and in media), fantasy, horror, independent/underground comics, anime/manga and any number of other things that will either get you invited to all the interesting parties or banned from all of the uninteresting ones. Also have a yen to listen to any number of genres of music ranging from 40's bebop to industrial to 70's punk to death metal.
I've attended conventions. I've volunteered at and staffed conventions. I've hosted room parties at conventions. Just about the only thing I haven't done is try to pass off my "art" at conventions (stick figures really don't cut it here). I also won the 2004 ISFiC Writers' Contest at Windycon 31, so I'm probably a better writer than I am an artist. If anything, I'd like to attend more panels and even moderate one or two provided actual live people (as opposed to, say, fake dead people) attend it and/or stay awake during the proceedings. Since someone was foolish enough to give people here 1,000 whole characters to keep rambling on in this section of the Profile, let me also mention my affiliation with the MIB Pirate Party, a supremely enjoyable bad influence on local convention life (but primarily Capricon these days) since 1994 when it was known as some other entirely bad thing instead. We, of course, insist on remaining as bad as possible for as long as possible.
I've been going to local SF, anime and gaming cons since the 80's and haven't been driven crazy by the Mundanes yet. Might've driven some of _them_ insane, though.
