We had our first Saturday session at The Fitness Matrix in Evanston and we have one more free session! After Saturday October 5, it will be $10/session per person.
The hour is described as follows:
After a short warm-up, you will begin a circuit of resistance exercise designed to work your legs, chest, back, shoulders, arms, abdomen, and rear end. The goal of the exercise is to keep you safe, yet working hard enough that you feel the immediate benefit after your workout. All exercises can be modified to account for any special considerations (i.e. an old knee, shoulder, or ankle injury) and per fitness level (most exercises have a novice, intermediate, and advanced variation).
The sessions are built around the principle of high intensity interval training which not only benefits your skeletal muscle, but also is extremely effective in building your lung capacity, strengthening your heart, and boosting your metabolism for up to 36 hours after the session is complete.
Basically, it's a small group in a small gym and everything can be modified to an appropriate fitness level.
