Having catalogued Dick Powell as a "nice singer and co-star for Ruby Keeler" a million years ago, I completely ignored him most of my life until just recently, when I accidentally "discovered" him. This is a long way of saying that if you attend this screening, you will NOT be disappointed. Dick Powell is fantastic. Don't take my word for it. Take a look at one of the episodes of "Four Star Playhouse" where he played a character named Dante: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbhKM6Kydhc

How many classic movie fans have seen this film? Author Raymond Chandler thought Dick Powell's Marlowe was the best of lot, including Bogart. What do you think of that?

Fascinating, in my book Bogart could do no wrong.
