Let's go see "Only Lovers Left Alive" | 7:15 PM show

Hello Chicago Film Lovers,

Join us the evening of Saturday , April  19th go see Jim Jarmusch's "Only Lovers Left Alive" at the Landmark. My plans for going out of town were cancelled so I'd be happy to host  to see this film this Saturday evening. Showtime is 7:15 PM. We'll head up to the theatre 15 minutes before showtime, 7:00 PM. You can buy your tix online or at the theatre. I will make a rez for us for a place to go after to discuss the film. See you then!

Your proud to be organizer,

Rebecca

I really enjoyed the film--wrote a review on my letterboxd page. Sorry I was not feeling well afterwards though--sounds like I missed out on some great conversation. Next time...

It was fun! The movie was very interesting and imaginative, and as a group we engaged in a fascinating conversation about it at a best called "Wilde" afterwards.

Timeless love story that happened to involve vampires. Great music and cool vibes. Afterwards we had a wonderful discussion at Wilde, as usual :)

So, I went ahead and saw this tonight. It is wonderful. At least, I thought so. I'll probably still attend this meetup tomorrow; wouldn't mind seeing it again in theaters.

So I'm confused. If it's not showing can we move it up to the weekend before? And what does it mean: print ticket. Is it free?

I spoke to someone this afternoon who works at Landmark. She informed me this film is currently scheduled only to run for a week - starting this Friday and playing until next Thursday, the 24th. They will know Tuesday if its schedule will be extended into the 25th and past, but there is nothing yet. That's not to say that it definitely will stop showing as of the 24th, though. Just wanted everyone to be aware.

PS: the film is not listed for April 11th in Landmark Century Center Cinema, or at least I do not see it listed.

According to Landmark's website, it will not playing until the 18th.

I emailed several theaters in the area and even those with April 18th showtimes listed are not certain. It only opens in NYC and LA this weekend and how it does there determines whether it will come to Chicago at all. If you have friends/family in NYC or LA, please encourage them to go see it!

I have a question about the date of this meetup, the date of April 17th in the add is a bit confusing. Thanks (and sorry for a silly question, I am new to the group and to town).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
