A Chicago French Bulldog Rescue Meetup at Hightails Hideaway in WEST CHICAGO! West Chicago is past Wheaton and over an hour from downtown Chicago.

http://www.hightailshideaway.com/

Please reserve a place for your dog, only. We do NOT need a count of humans, JUST DOGS.

This is a French Bulldog ONLY meetup. As always, only Frenchies who are well socialized and up to date on their shots.  We will make sure the space is very cool. The maximum amount of dogs allowed in this space is 20 so RSVP early because this event will sell out.

$20 for the first dog, $10 for the second dog in the same family.

All proceeds will benefit the Chicago French Bulldog Rescue.

Thank you!

Bentley and I had an AWSOME time! It was great to meet new friends, with both 2 legs and 4! We can't wait for the next one!

Awesome! It was a nice change for the folks in the 'burbs to have an event outside of the city.

Thanks so much to everyone that came today. Much fun was had by all. My Chloe is napping after the good time. I'd love to host again here, so I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

How strict is the policy for how many people can attend? I purchased 2 extra tickets, besides myself. However a few more family members mentioned they are interested. Is there anyway this can work?

I loved that this venue was both inside and outside. It was great that there were pools for the Frenchies to cool off in as well. I do wish that the venue wasn't so far from the city though.

Fabulous meet up today! Thank you to everyone involved !

I hate to cancel at the last minute but Bug-a-Boo is not feeling well today. I haven't been able to motivate him to do anything and he just wants to sleep and cuddle. I'm thinking its probably best to just keep him home if he's not feeling well. Sorry about the late notice.

P[masked] is my confirmation code. I only have one dog attending. My reciept says $60 paid

    September 7, 2013

  • Rachel M.

Thanks Carmie. I seem to have interpreted it wrong. I thought it said a maximum of 3 people, not dogs. So I purchased 3 tickets, $60 worth. I am only bringing one dog. How do I go about getting a refund?

Please reserve a place for your dog, only. We do NOT need a count of humans, JUST DOGS.- as it states clearly in the meetup description. When we schedule meetups at locations- they usually give us a dog limit not a people limit- that is why we ALWAYS put the limit of how many dogs can come to each one.

Rachel, when did you pay- I don't see a $60 payment on paypal from you? Did you use a different name when you paid?

      September 7, 2013

  • Rachel M.

Yes, that is correct. At the top of my page it still reads $20.00/person. If it in fact is only $20.00 a dog then it should state that, not people.

Sandy here. I set up the details for this event. There are many details about scheduling a meetup that we cannot manipulate (such as the message you get when you RSVP that you will attend) which is why we go to great lengths to explain it in the text. Of course we will offer anyone who misunderstood a refund. As with most of our meetups, we only charge for the dogs attending. You can bring as many people as you like.

$20 for the first dog, $10 for the second dog in the same family. as it clearly states this time and every time we post a meetup. Meetup itself does not give US the option to change where it says per person to dog- as meetups were basically started for people to get together- their glitch not ours.

      1 · September 7, 2013

  • Lisa

It does explain in the description that the cost is per dog...that a count is not needed for humans. I think there will plenty of dogs there to play and pools for the pups. I'm hoping everyone is still coming. All the money helps CFBR and we are raising money to for an upcoming rescue. The owner of Hightails and I have things set up nicely for a fun time on this beautiful day. We can't wait to meet you and your pups.

We are very sorry to say our Blackie passed away July 16th. He was at the last meet-up. He suffered severe epilepsy all his 7 1/2 years, but led a happy life. He was our little guy, our joy, and he will be dearly missed.

    July 25, 2013

    • mary

So sorry to hear about Blackie- they sure do steal our hearts quickly and leave a gapping hole when they pass. When you are ready to open your heart and home to another frenchie, maybe our rescue can help you find the perfect match to help your heart start to mend.

    • Dora K

      Thanks for the kind words.

      September 6, 2013

  • Carmie

Rachel, the tickets are for the number of Frenchies you have, not the number of people. I bought one ticket for Dozer, but my husband and I will both attend. If I was bringing another dog, I'd need another ticket.

    1 · September 6, 2013

  • mary

PLEASE remember- this is in West Chicago NOT Chicago. Look forward to seeing everyone there- if the weather is nice enough, we will have access to inside and outside and a few kiddie swimming pools for the frenchies!

    1 · September 6, 2013

  • Lisa

Mary is going to bring a few items to sell such as CFBR tshirts. Bring some cash if you want to purchase something. Also, we are looking to raise additional funds for our upcoming rescue. We'd appreciate any additional donations. Can't wait for some Frenchie Fun Time!!!

We are SO excited to join this meet-up. We recently lost our beloved English Mastiff Maxx, and have recently opened our heart to a beautiful Frenchie. Bentley has added so much laughter to our family. She certainly is a funny liitle clown!

My Bug-a-Boo has never played with other French Bulldogs and I'm really excited to see how it goes for him. He is 21 weeks and very socialized but full of puppy energy...fair warning. LoL!

Martie, I think I met you at Cantigny with my pup Chloe. Glad you guys are coming.

      1 · August 5, 2013

    • Martie

Yes, we did meet. You are the one that told me we didn't have to drive into the city for this meetup. So excited to see Bug-a-Boo play with other Frenchie dogs! Thanks for the information.

      August 5, 2013

  • Anne M.

I think this address is wrong, Hightails is actually outside of the city.

    July 25, 2013

    • JJ

West Chicago?! Yikes! I love these meet ups but didn't know that it was that far out of the City when I signed up. Not sure we will be able to make it given the distance.

      July 26, 2013

    • Sandra

Let me know if you would like a refund!

      August 3, 2013

  • Maria

I would like to go but a bit far Java has been getting car sick lately! Can't wait for the next event!
