Have fun. Learn something.

We are looking for few good volunteers to help us manage Learnapalooza Wicker Park on Saturday, June 15.

What is Learnapalooza? It is a free, day-long neighborhood learning festival happening on June 15, 2013 from 10am to 5pm in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago. Community members will share their skills by leading free workshops in various Wicker Park spaces that everyone can attend. It's a fun and free way to share your passions and learn new skills.

It will take a lot of hands to make this run smoothly and be an outstanding experience for teachers, learners, and our host venues. There are a couple of ways you can us accomplish that:

Learnapalooza registration volunteer – greet volunteers, manage sign-in sheets for classes, and answer general questions (where is the bathroom, what else is going on).
Learnapalooza runner - You won't actually be running, but we sometimes need help getting stuff from one venue to another.
Learnapalooza street team – Pass out day-of programs to help spread the word about the festival.
You can volunteer to help out in the morning, afternoon, or all day. Let us know which classes you are interested in attending, and we can even assign you as a volunteer for that class (we like to be efficient around here).

How to apply

Is this event good for teens as well? Or are you looking only for adults.

There are certain classes that are geared towards adults, but most are teen-friendly, and some are inclusive of children as well. If it's in regards to teens volunteering, please email [masked] with more specifics about ages, etc.
