Spring Break fun activities with children at homeless shelter, flexible time

The Chicago Public School is on spring break this week, and many children are looking for safe and positive activities to do. The San Jose Obrero Mission Shelter for Women and Children in particular are looking for volunteers to work with the children in their homeless shelter. They are in need of volunteers this coming week, Monday to Friday, April 14th to 18th, from 9 am to 5 pm. You do not need to come for the full duration each day, any time you give will make a big difference in a child's life living in an already difficult environment. You can help their day be better.

Volunteers will play games, do arts and crafts activities, sports, and other fun and positive things with the children. There are about 12 children at this shelter that can use a Spring Break buddy.

All volunteers should be 18 years or older,  or 16 if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
