Train with us- Coppin Community Center Food Pantry (2 sessions available)

Coppin Community Center Food Pantry Volunteers: PLEASE READ

Food Pantry Volunteer Training Sessions

When: Thursday, August 21st at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm

Where: Coppin Community Center (Morris building), 5627 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637

Why: To clarify food pantry policies, procedures, volunteer position descriptions, schedules, and answer questions our volunteers have for us- this meeting is very important for ensuring we are in compliance with the Greater Chicago Food Depository's policies and that we establish our own procedures to make volunteering with us easier. Your feedback is welcome!

RSVP Info: Please call the office at (773)[masked], email us at [masked] by Monday, August 18th or RSVP here on the event page

The food pantry has grown very quickly in recent months. We evaluated all of our processes involved with managing the operation and must communicate changes going forward to ensure that our food pantry stays open and we can serve our clients the best that we possibly can!

Frankye and Alyssa will host 2 training sessions and strongly encourage all (new and old volunteers) who would like to volunteer with us at any point in the future to participate in one session. We will do our best to make it fun and will serve light refreshments for you to enjoy.

This is a great opportunity to meet other volunteers that you may have never worked with before!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
