The McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade has been bringing smiles to the people of Chicago, and now all over the country since 1934. We have volunteer positions for anyone ages 12 and up. Had a great time even though I was running on 3 hours of sleep (was up the night before painting State Street) All the effort paid off. A couple of friends told me I made a TV appearance. Was part of the Conrucopia Balloon crew.

If you signed up throught the ChicagoFestivals.org website way back when this meetup was posted, but didn't get some kind of confirmation, you MAy want to try calling the volunteer coordinator. Dial [masked] and leave a message with a return number. They will let you know if you've been approved or declined.

My question is for anyone who already signed up to secure their spot at chicagofestivals.org. what did everyone choose (Baloon Handler, Banner Carrier, Volunteer Check in, etc)? Plus if anyone is interested in taking this a step further, there are volunteer opportunities for overnight street painting for this project on the monday tuesday and wednesday before (the dates for that are off on the website)

Well, I still haven't got any answer as to what am I going to be doing but I've applied for 1. Merchandise 2. Unit Liaisons and 3. VIP/Hospitality . I've also applied for the overnight painting Sunday/Monday (it says there Monday 17th but 17th is on Saturday....) What about everyone else??
