Hello Meet-Up Friends!

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering at the Pillars Ball. We would welcome your participation! Without the support of generous individuals like you, we would not be able to make the event a success.

The event will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at a new location this year – Abbington Banquets will be the new home of our agency’s largest fundraiser. We are still in need of several kinds volunteers. No matter where you decide to help, please know that your support is critical to having a successful event.

We simply couldn’t pull off this event without the dedication of our volunteers to assist with our casino style gaming and the logistics of the evening. Once again, we will offer blackjack, roulette, poker and craps - all to raise money in support of the vital services Pillars provides our neighbors in need! 

I can provide more detailed information about volunteer opportunities available, as well as a commitment form for you to complete and return to me. As many of you know, it takes more than 100 volunteers to ensure the night runs smoothly, so please be sure to pass this information along to any friends or family members who might be interested in helping us out! All volunteers will receive a complimentary dinner as a small expression of our gratitude.

    Friendly reminder to carpoolers: be sure your ride has an ending shift near yours! We have always been able to sort out rides after 2nd shift in the past however :)

    Hi all - car pooling always seems to work itself out, we've even arranged rides w/regular Pillars volunteers in the past. A MAJOR change this year however is that the very nice Sam Madan will be coordinating this illustrious event now instead of Colleen.

    Sam is new to Pillars, and to using CFV for help, so IT IS A PRIORITY THAT YOU EMAIL HIM AT [masked] IF YOU HAVE NOT SENT IN YOUR FORM! Again contact him ASAP if you still wish to volunteer (put Chicago Fun Volunteer in the subject). Casino volunteers prob have their info in too late for the state (you can try) but Pillars still needs to process dinner, schedules, & logistics for 100+ volunteers of their major event of the year. Let's help Sam run this event as smoothly as possible!

    He will be contacting us with shift assignments. Dress is typically black pants/skirt white dress shirt. Next month I'll be sending another CFV-mail out to dbl check car arrangements ;)
