Introduction
Hello. Im Deepa.
Have you ever volunteered before? In what way? (Tutoring, Kids, Humanitarian, Cleanup, Nature, Animals) Still doing so?
Ive volunteered off and on in the past years; Ive helped out w/ tutoring, nature cleanup, soup kitchens in the past.
What do a peron's day-to-day actions REALLY say about them? What do the words MORAL FIBER mean to you? Tell us what you think...
I think you can best tell what a person's character is like by observing their day to day actions. Everyone has their own moral code; its the set of rules that an individual has that governs their decisions and actions.
Are you new to Chicago? Might you need or can you help carpool? As a fun community of members, transport to non-city events never ends up a problem!
Not new; been here all my life. Been busy up till the last few years when I finally finished graduate school and started working and living my life:)
Occasionally outside groups contact us looking for help. Is there a specific type (animals, kids, etc) of volunteering you would like us to keep you mind for in these situations?
I can't say what type of volunteering I mostly like to do; it has to just be interesting to me. Ive done nursery home volunteering, outdoor cleanup, and worked w/kids. I do enjoy soup kitchens and dinner cafes that offer food to the homeless.
Where did you hear about our group? A Current Member (who)? Meetup link/email? Flier? Speech? Facebook? Other? (Specific answers will help us & the number we reach out to *GROW* :)
