Introduction
Greetings to all. I have joined this group to meet like minded people and make new friends. I do a lot of volunteering, for all kinds of causes, and would love to get to know more of you. I'm looking forward to our next event.

I live in Chicago and can help out with local car pooling. My car does not go on long journeys.
Occasionally outside groups contact us looking for help. Is there a specific type (animals, kids, etc) of volunteering you would like us to keep you mind for in these situations?

hi petra - thank you for joining our support and discussion group. the group just started today on meetup, but we will accumulate more members soon. there is another founding member also, but he is still going to join on meetup. this brand new group will grow quickly, and there is an advanced format for personal sharing. it's so nice that you want to help others, as there are many people who need support. :)

Hi Petra and group - I am a long-time musician (keyboards, guitar, percussion) learning Latin rhythms on timbales. I'm not very good yet but would love to practice with other like-minded drummers as schedules permit.
