Introduction
Hey there! Freshly graduated, I've relocated to Chicago and I'm looking for a way to be productive in my spare time as well as meet some new people!
Have you ever volunteered before? In what way? (Tutoring, Kids, Humanitarian, Cleanup, Nature, Animals) Still doing so?
Yes! I volunteered at a fair trade shop as a sales associate my entire senior year of college. I've also done cleanup at a local shelter and pulled invasive species of ivy from the park.
What do a peron's day-to-day actions REALLY say about them? What do the words MORAL FIBER mean to you? Tell us what you think...
Actions really do speak louder than words. The people who really take the time to consider how their actions effect those people and the world around them are the ones that I want to get to know. Moral fiber to me are those thoughts that weave together in a person's head and what drive them to take the actions they are making. I want to get to know those people whose fibers are woven out of good, kind fiber, and I think that's more people than we might imagine.
Are you new to Chicago? Might you need or can you help carpool? As a fun community of members, transport to non-city events never ends up a problem!
I am new to Chicago and do not have a car! If there is an event outside of the city then I will most likely need help getting there.
Occasionally outside groups contact us looking for help. Is there a specific type (animals, kids, etc) of volunteering you would like us to keep you mind for in these situations?
I would love to be kept in mind if there's an animal or environmental event that comes up.
