I know I've been ranting and raving about Chicago Cares' Serve-a-thon. Also received responses and questions from many of you. Thank you so much to those who have signed up already. Hopefully you have no problems keeping in touch with your volunteer sire reps (Chicago Cares Liasons), or your teams of volunteer leads.
For anyone who's been on the fence or has been waiting on their schedules, this is the absolute last week for Serve-a-thon registration. Volunteer leads are needed to help supervise hands on volunteers as they paint (hallways, classroms and murals), garden, build benches and book shelves, and organize books in the school library for dozens of Chicago Public Schools on Saturday June 9th. The work done will iimpact over 18,000 Chicago Public School Students
Production assistants and bus ambassadors will also be needed for an early morning shift. These volunteers handle volunteer check in, hand out fruit water and box lunches to the volunteers and make sure that volunteers board the correct bus.
Afternoon production assistants are needed to help check in volunteers after their volunteer project at serve-a-thon plaza (known any other day as Daley Plaza).
Bus ambassadors are hands on volunteers who have an additional responsibility of handing out and collecting volunteer waivers from all fellow volunteers during the ride to your worksite (school)
If you are free on Saturday June 9th, consider joining Chicago Cares for this extraaordinary event.
To register as a volunteer lead, visit http://www.chicagocares.org/ and click on the register to lead button and follow the instructions.

Thank you again and have a great rest of the week,
