What are your geeky obsessions

Dr Who, Star Trek, British actors, video games, science, astronomy and space, science fiction writing, films, youtube trends, space aliens and UFO's, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and anything of odd culture.

Who is your favorite Author? Book? Movie? Game?

Ray Bradbury was my favorite author for a long time but now it is probably Alfred Bester or Philip K. Dick. Movie wise, I like so much it is impossible to say what my favorite one is but I would say Aliens and Dark Crystal rank very high. Video games, most recently I fell in love with Mass Effect...and anything generally Bioware gets its claws into at all.

Who are your role models?

Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry had a huge impact on my dreams growing up. Two british actors who inspired me incredibly. Milos Forman as a director has always touched me in a very human and deep manner, though Martin Scorsese is not far behind. Gene Wilder always makes me smile and outside of the standards like George Lucas or Steven Spielberg, I would say Clive Owen really gets me in my gut and Alan Rickman is a blessing.

What kinds of locations would you like to have a meetup?

Anywhere that is strange, bizarre, and involves challenging my mind in some manner. Short of that, a place that is warm, well lit, and allows me a mug of some warm like beverage.

Random geek fact about you?

I have been interviewed as a speculative fiction expert by the Chicago Tribune about an article involving a robot convention that came into town. Not that I was really an expert, I was just running a speculative fiction group on

I have been a geek for as long as I remember! I first started attending Star Trek conventions when I was around ten years old, I am a unqualified Dr Who fan, lover of science and nature and anything esoteric and strange and I write, a lot!
