Unbranded Designs is a crowdsourced furniture company by building a community independent furniture designers and working with local manufacturers to provide consumers with high quality goods. Designers have opportunities to showcase their talent, market themselves, and have their work funded, produced, and sold. We use feedback from our community to determine which products to take to market, minimizing our new product risk. Our success is dependent on our ability to build a strong community of talented furniture designers. We recently launched but have some initial traction. We also just competed in and won the Chicago Lean Startup Challenge.
I attended a talk in Detroit last week by Mattan Griffel about Growth Hacking. Analytics is a central part of our company and we've already demonstrated at least some ability to use it as evidenced by the CLSC win, but we are far from experts. We need to continue to get smarter and improve our application of data/testing so that we can continue to grow our designer community and improve overall conversions. I hope to learn how others are positively growing their companies and also hope to get to the point that I can contribute back to the group as well.
