Toast and Jam

Good old Gathering and play time. There will certainly be a big song circle, but if that doesn't strike your fancy- there is plenty of space to break off into other groups to play what ever you want! No Actual toast, but plenty of toasting!

Walter YOU are the man! I'm meeting with the Board on Tuesday to make Open Mic at CCYC official. I'm also suggesting Saturday nights to accommodate The MAN.

Even the two maintenance workers were impressed...Linda added another dimension of fun, and singing.
    We need more female singers
Jeff, you and your guests left too early.

    Hello All
Is this group open to brand new guitar people?
I'd love to get involved. I have written lyrics for a while, but I;m just getting started with the Electric Guitar? Anyone new here, or all seasoned guitar vets?
    Thanks

Saturdays would be better for me because I sometimes volunteer at the Carlton Nursing Home on Montrose and LSD on Saturdays. Since I live way south in Midlothian, I could make a day of it and play both if it were on Saturdays.

We're waiting on the word from CYCC on wether we can start doing monthly open mics there over the Winter. ANyone is welcome to host a meetup whenever they like if they have access to a space.

fridays, i usually just want to go home and stay, or I got something going on. i'm a lot more bored and there seems to be a lot less to do on a sunday night. but, friday's are ok by me. i just remember going there (yacht club) on a sunday and there it was only guitar people, and going on friday and it was a lot more chaotic.

not to "change the course", ( a boating reference...get it?? lol), but wouldn't sunday nights work better? wouldn't there be a lot LESS yacht club people there on a typical sunday night than on a friday? esp. in the fall, winter and early spring.

Yeah, but a lot of people have to work on Monday. Open mikes usually run late, and if the summer jam sessions are any indication, parties at CCYC usually run late, too. A perfect storm!
