The festival is a multi-disciplinary collaboration festival. Our Meetup is delighted to co-sponsor of this Borderbend Arts Collective event. This 6th annual festival happens in the Chicago area and beyond. Our particular venue is the Cornelia Arts Building
Home-made crochet hooks and bandanas along with Haitian-made jewelry.
All proceeds will benefit the arts and projects in Jakmel (Haiti). 100% of proceeds will go to Haiti!
Special Highlight: On Display only are dresses for little girls in Haiti, made from gently-used pillowcases by members of our Meetup.
The Cornelia Arts Building was established in 1986. Ever since it has provided incubator space to local and international artists and artisans. Luckily by now over 40 local artists whose work spans disciplines including painting and drawing, sculpture, photography, print-making, jewelry design and performance have made use of this opportunity.
The Cornelia Artist Building is part of Chicago Artists Month 2011 - the sixteenth annual celebration of Chicago's vibrant visual art community presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture.
