I'd be interested in comfort measures, specifically about speaking with doulas and partners about what they can do to make labor less painful. I'd also be interested in how you could avoid hospital transfers (to the extent you can, of course) and how to select a doula, especially if you're low on funds. I know there are volunteer doula services out there, but I don't know much about it.
If I'm the only one with this concern, please disregard. I've been to several home birth meetups at Bloom and one at Hip Circle. They were all great, but it's difficult for me to get to Hip Circle because of the Metra schedule. I don't have a car and live in Ravenswood. If you could move the meet-ups back a half hour to 1pm, it'd be easier for me to attend.
I had a fantastic (and by fantastic, I mean excruciating but successful) home birth and plan on several more. I really appreciate your hosting these meetups. I just wish I could make more! Even if you don't switch the time, I'll try to come more frequently.

The end of 2011 is close at hand and we still need to choose our discussion topics for 2012! Please let me know what you'd like to see covered at upcoming meetups and we'll do our best to accomodate your ideas!
