Write Stuff

Starting Saturday Sept 14 Sketch Writing Drop In Classes called “Write Stuff” with Angie McMahon 1pm-3pm at Under The Gun Theater’s Rehearsal Studio at 3435 N Sheffied Suite 214, Chicago, IL. You bring enough copies of your sketch to be read as well as one extra copy and $5. We will read through everyone who attends Sketches (and a second one if time permits) and get feedback on it not only from Angie McMahon but the peers of the group as well. I will run this drop in class every Saturday as long as popularity demands it. Questions email [masked]

We have no way to make copies of your sketches so please come with copies in hand.

Angie is the Founding Director of Chemically Imbalanced Comedy and former Network Committee Chairman for the Chicago Comedy Association. Recent directing credits include “The Book of Liz” by Amy and David Sedaris, “Cartoon”, by Steve Yockley, and “Sex” by David Wain. She recently was the Assistant to the Director of “The Second City’s History of Chicago” and currently serves as a faculty member in their Writing Program. The former Associate Producer for The Free Associates Theater Company at The Royal George, she produced the original Improv Parodies “BS”, “Improvaov”, “Frodo-A-Go-Go”, and “Improvisation with a Vampire”.

How about you just come in with an outline of a sketch idea and we will help you make it a full sketch. At least half the session is dedicated to brain storming ideas
