Introduction

I've been into indy rock for awhile, since the early 90's (before the term was really coined) and would like to meet with other like-minded people and watch/listen to some good music together.

What are you listening to lately?

hey jim...check out this page. it's for bandcamp. we talked a little bit about it the other night, but this link will take you specifically to the *discover* section. just click on a genre, like hip-hop, and up pops eight bands (there's actually more, just click the next page), and you can listen to them by clicking on the album cover. it's so easy! i spend a lot of time doing this, and i loooooooove it. give it a try, and let me know what you think!

    Chicago Skeptics

Welcome! If you think of yourself as a critical thinker, you may already be a skeptic and not even know it :). Critical thinking and awareness of ones own cognitive biases and a love of learning are key. See you at the party (which will be more party than skeptical)

oh, and here's the other band that i mentioned, gus gus. there were eight people in the band, with half of them dedicated to video production. i saw them at the metro, and it was pretty damn amazing. the band that opened for them was lamb, which is *another* band you must hear! for now, here's a remix of my fav gus gus track, "polyesterday": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVNJc4...
