Chicago Interactive Design/Development May Meeting

Our May meetup will be about HTML Emails and will be led by Jerry Archambeau, Internet Design Manager for CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business. We'll gather and do some networking and socializing from 6 to 7.

At 7:00 Jerry will talk about:
--HTML email best practices (how to, how not to, when to, and when to stop)
--How to set up, design and create files to ensure maximum deliverability to a wide-variety of email clients

Jerry's Biography:
--Graduate of Iowa State University
--One of those few ?lucky? souls who get to use their degree full time. Major in Graphic Design; Minor in English
--Has worked at various corporate in-house advertising and marketing departments for the past 13+ years. Also works from time to time on freelance jobs
--Originally set out to be a print designer; roped kicking and screaming into the realms of HTML in 1999 and has been employed in that sector ever since
--Currently works for CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business. A publishing firm specializing in tax and accounting research and software solutions for CPAs and Corporate Accounting clients
--Enjoys laughter and humor everyday
--Looks forward to the day when electronic media and printed design will be one in the Universe
--Can type over 3,000 words per minute on a good day
--Enjoys decaffeinated coffee on cold Chicago days; and loves to connect with people in professional and non-business settings
