This is the Ed Wood movie with the octopus.
There's really nothing else to say; "Bride of the Monster" is legendary. What could I possibly add?
OK, I'll give'er a crack, if you insist.
Bela Lugosi is a mad scientist trying to create an army of atomic superbeings with his manservant, Lobo ("Time for go to bed!"), played by the entirely imitable Tor Johnson. Ed's stable of actors is all there; Tor, Bela and his girlfriend. Gosh, no wonder Tim Burton liked him so much; they follow a strangely similar pattern.
BotM also features Hired!, a Jam Handy short designed to teach managers to teach salesmen to sell. And boy, will you ever learn how to teach salesmen by watching this film! (For the record; it's part 1 of 2 -- the second half ran before Manos. If everyone is good, we can do both halves.)
We'll be starting the movie at 2 PM, but someone from the group (me or Scott) will be in the bar downstairs at around noon. So come to the bar, have lunch with some of your fellow MSTies, then head on up to the private room to watch the movie! I charge $5 per person for equipment and room costs.
