25th Anniversary Reunion!

Update: there have been a lot of questions about this meetup, so here's what I have in answer: I don't believe it's assigned seating, the event is not terribly formal and may not end at exactly 2. I know the museum will not kick everyone out at 2 o'clock, and I may be able to persuade them to screen an episode of the show after the panel's over. For those concerned about parking downtown , I would ask someone who knows post in the comments a way to finagle the parking so its not obscenely expensive. Thanks, everyone! I look forward to seeing all of you there!

The event been announced! In celebration of the 25th anniversary of MST3K, the Museum of Broadcast Communications will host a panel featuring Joel, Trace, Frank and Josh!

Now, as the organizer of this group, I've taken this opportunity to communicate with the people organizing this event and volunteering my/our services in the buildup. So, if you would be willing to help with the distribution of promotional material, or if you have anything that you, as a fan, would like to put on display, or you would like to be involved in some other way, leave a comment our contact me directly.

This is a high watermark moment for this group, and so I'd like as much participation as we can muster. If I see you every month, or I've never met you before, this is the meetup to attend!

More details as I get them!

Does anyone know where to find the music video Trace said he did with Frank? I thought he said it was called "The Frank", but I haven't been able to find it.

They showed it at the Cinematic Titanic show a couple of weeks ago in Northampton, MA. Not sure if it's online anywhere.

Me too, I didn't know Joel could be so snarky. I was sitting behind the poor guy and had to pat him on the shoulder.

      Any conclusions?

I think the museum itself will give us time to mingle, and there's a possibility of an episode screening after the panel.

I'll be coming and bringing my LEGO SOL for display if feasible. I would need about a 6ft by 2ft area to display it. The actual dimensions are 4ft long by 1ft wide.

I'll be doing a dry run of the SOL two weeks from this weekend (10/26 and 10/27) at the Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club show at the Addison public library. If I can get a nice size stack of flyers in time for that show

    • Adam M.

Hey Mike, SOL is in kind of a disassembled state right now while I'm putting in the electrics. While I can get it to the point that it's displayable for Saturday, I'm going to have to pass at this point. I'll still be there though.

Anyone get there tickets yet? Mine shipped on the 5th with no tracking. Still haven't gotten it in the mail yet and nobody is answering or returning calls at the museum.

    November 12, 2013

    • Mike A.

They're will-call. The store just isn't set up for that.

      November 12, 2013

    • Christos the G.

I can see where the confusion sets in, because when you click on the tickets it says it's will call, but when checking out it forces you to select shipping, and then sends you a shipping notice.

      November 12, 2013

  • Christos the G.

Is it assigned seating? Or open?

    November 12, 2013

  • Gail A.

Just ordered my tickets. See ya there.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
