Chicago: Bloodlust!

Are you a fan of the Scooby Doo formula, but wish they had removed that annoying talking dog?  The makers of Bloodlust! clearly were.  Bloodlust! is the story of four alleged teenagers who decide to go hang out on a deserted island that just happens to be the home of an elderly man who shoots people for sport* and puts them on display in a cavernous trophy room**.  Naturally, the foursome direct the energy of their flirtatious banter to mystery-solving mode and after failing to deduce anything and accomplishing nothing, the day is saved out of nowhere.

This Mike episode is the one of the first released on home video by Rhino, and is the first appearance of the very funny Mary Jo Pehl as Pearl Forrester -- ultimately a landmark episode, considering Pearl's progression with the series.  So suck in your gut and join us for the clambake*** at the Elgin Public House for the July Suburban meetup!

The episode starts in room 304 (subject to change) at approximately 7:30, but you are more than welcome to come early and enjoy a pint and a meal at the Fifth Province, the center's pub with us as we mingle with each other.  There is a $5 event fee to cover equipment, room rental and other group expenses, which covers your attendance and a pre-printed nametag.  If assistance getting to the Center is needed or any concerns aren't answered in the body of this email, you may email me with the contact button to your left, call me on the day of the meetup, or text me anytime at[masked]-3226.

*** There won't be a clambake.  (Probably.)

I unfortunately can also no longer go... And I love this episode so much. Mike, let me know via facebook if you've got any updates on that riffing group you mentioned last month. I'd still love to help out with that.
