Excel is one tool in an arsenal of desk top and Client-Server based data manipulation, management and data extract tools that I use to change data into relevant, actionable information. Desktop tools like Excel are perfect because they can manage the data sets I work with and I can train non-analysts on the How To's to improve the end user data experience.
Not much yet. I don't have a need to generate much summary information.

Entered the world of PCs (and Excel) when Windows 3.1, 1.5mb floppy disks, and dial up was high tech. Past 9 years have been working with pharmacy claim data evaluating standards of care and health plan performance.
